On a late summer
morning horses are enjoying dewy grasses and clover in a country
meadow. Seeing us they begin to maneuver around to receive
us if we should decide to approach them with any treats.
Horses are very intelligent animals and they learn more about
people the more they live around us. They know, for example,
when people approach them with bribes for a ride. But if
they like the bribe, they may allow you to catch them anyway.
Another closely guarded secret: many horses enjoy going for a ride
as much as the human they carry. |
