In this photo of
the pine cones, a gray rock from a nearby river bed has been
added. Rocks made smooth by years of water wear off many
interesting shapes. I could spends hours just looking them
over and wondering about the journeys they have made. Ice
and snow, glaciers and gigantic lakes, rivers cutting their way
through miles and miles of rocky soil, all these things have
played their part in bringing this one smooth gray rock to our
valley. |
