Faith, family and true fellowship
can be found in any genuinely Christian local church. You
may not have a fancy building, or any building at all. But
whether you meet in a home, a school building, or in a nearby
park, the church is there when true believers meet. Jesus
Christ is head over all things to the church, and the real
church is the group of men, women and young people who know and
love the Lord.
I found the meaning of real family
when I met Christ and began meeting with other Christians.
Sharing and caring is what Christian fellowship is all about.
New friendships are made and a new understanding of God's grace
at work in human beings develops in our hearts when we see our
own lives and in the lives of others around us changing in the
Presence of God.
There is no better place to get good
teaching from the Lord than in the local Christian fellowship.
You don't need a seminary-trained professor to guide you in the
Word of God. Formal education can be a wonderful thing,
don't get me wrong. But any man or woman who truly loves
and follows Jesus Christ can offer insights into the Scriptures
and the life of faith. In fact, as believers meet together
and share together, it is amazing what they can gain from God.
The Internet is no substitute for
genuine Christian gathering with others who love the Lord Jesus.
Meeting in the same room and praying together, singing together,
sharing burdens and praises, caring for the young and joining
hearts in intercessory prayer for families — all face-to-face —
is a wonderful thing. I know that God blesses His people
no matter where they are scattered around the world, in the city
or in the most remote places, but He grants special blessings to
those who gather together in the Name of Jesus, just as He
promised.
