Original Christian artwork: Pastel rendering of river bank
and water. God's love for you is everlasting.
Life can be so irritating, and even devastating. How many
are the times when we wonder why God would allow us to have some
of the troubles we face? And yet, if the Lord is with us,
we find a way to make it through. And since God cares for
all people, it is not surprising that we all seem to make it
through times that might otherwise crush us.
Why does God help people? It is because of the great love He has
for us. That's why He is helping you through the difficult
days you face. God is with us. When He promised
Moses that He would be with Him, He did not fail him, did He?
And when He made the same promise to Joshua, that also proved
true. God is with us today, as well. No matter what
comes our way, God is greater. And no matter how we may
fail to act in faith or perfect wisdom, God's love will not
leave us or forsake us.
We often place our confidence in a bank, a retail store, a
manufacturer, a politician, our own government. And all of
these are only human beings, human institutions, humanly devised
programs. Sometimes they work just fine, and many times
they don't. Often we find that someone that we trusted has
placed their own desires above any concern they should have had
for us.
God, however, loves us more than He loves His own comfort.
He gave up His one and only eternal Son, just to save the likes
of us. Jesus died for millions of people who will never
thank Him, never give His sacrifice a thought. He did not
do it for praise or a pat on the back. He gave up His life
for love. Just as many American soldiers sacrifice their
safety and their lives for the love of country, so Jesus gave up
His life for you and for me. He died so that we might live
forever.
God's love does not waver, does not get pulled off track, does
not run dry with time. God is not regretting anything He
has done for us. He would do it all over again, if needed.
His love is not conditional on how wise or perfect we are.
His love never fails.
